Garage Door Services
Spring and cable repair, openers, off track doors, rollers and panels, new doors, hurricane doors and 24/7 emergency service across Tampa Bay and SW Florida.
What we fix and install
Most garage door problems fall into nine groups. A spring or cable snaps. An opener stops working or gets too old. A door slips off its track, grinds or bends. An old door needs replacing. A door is not ready for storm season. Or something breaks at night and cannot wait.
Each service page explains the signs, the usual cost and what we do on site. Not sure which one you need? Call (813) 774-1127 and tell us what the door is doing.
Which service fits your garage door problem?
Start with what you see or hear. The table matches the most common signs to the usual cause and the right page.
| What the door is doing | Likely cause | Service |
|---|---|---|
| A loud bang, then the door feels very heavy or will not lift | A broken spring | Spring repair |
| The door hangs crooked or a cable hangs loose | A snapped or slipped lift cable | Cable repair |
| A roller popped out or the door left its track | An off track door | Off-track repair |
| Grinding, squeaking or shaking as the door moves | Worn rollers or a bent panel | Roller and panel replacement |
| The motor hums but the door stays put, or the remote is dead | An opener or sensor fault | Opener repair |
| The opener is old, loud or has no battery backup | An opener near the end of its life | Opener installation |
| The door is dented, rusted or has no wind label | A door that is past saving | New door installation |
| Storm season is coming and you are not sure the door will hold | Wind rating or bracing | Hurricane-rated doors |
| The door is stuck open at night or the car is trapped | Anything that cannot wait | 24/7 emergency repair |
One problem often hides another. A broken spring can fray a cable, and an off track door can bend a panel. That is why we check the whole door, not only the part that failed.
What happens on every garage door service visit?
Every visit follows the same steps. First, we look at the whole door: springs, cables, rollers, tracks and opener. Then we tell you what is wrong and what it costs. The price is agreed before any work starts, so there are no surprise fees.
After the repair, we balance the door by hand and test the safety reverse. A door that is out of balance wears out the opener and the new parts. A door that does not reverse can hurt someone.
Fix the part or replace the whole door?
Most single repairs cost a few hundred dollars. Our garage door repair cost guide lists national price ranges for each job. A new door costs more, but it can make sense when the door is old, badly dented or has no wind rating for Florida.
Here is a simple test. If the door needs several big repairs at once, compare that total with a new door. Our garage door replacement cost guide shows what a new door usually costs. A new door needs a building permit and an inspection. We’ll tell you exactly what your city requires before work starts.

Garage door services: common questions
Start with what the door is doing. A loud bang and a heavy door point to a spring. A crooked door often means a cable. A humming motor with no movement points to the opener. If you are not sure, call us, describe the sound and the movement, and we will tell you the likely cause.
Usually not. A door with a broken spring, a loose cable or a roller out of the track can drop or jam without warning. Stop using the opener, keep people and cars clear and leave the door where it is. Then call us. We answer 24/7 and can talk you through keeping the door safe.
We look at the whole door first, then tell you what is wrong and what it costs. The price is agreed before any work starts, so there are no surprise fees. National price ranges for common repairs are in our garage door repair cost guide, but your door and its parts set the final number.
We cover 52 cities in nine counties across Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida. That includes Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Manatee, Sarasota, Polk, Charlotte and Indian River counties. Find your town on our service areas page. Each city page lists local details such as the office that issues building permits.
A new door often makes sense when the door is badly dented, rusted through, or needs several big repairs at once. It can also make sense when the door has no wind rating for Florida. Compare the repair total with the cost of a new door, and ask us for both prices before you decide.
